The official registration period for new students for the 2015-2016 school year is February 16 - March 27.  Register your child for Nursery if he/she turns 4 years old by September 30th, 2015 and 5 years old for Kindergarten. Registration is taking place at the school. You will need to produce your child's medicare card, your child's birth certificate and immunization booklet. You will also be required to give your native status card number if you have one.

Bussing - Access to an appropriate educational program of studies is a right; however, transportation to the school site is a privilege, with specific respobsibilities and consequences.  For the full policy of the Kanesatake Education Center please see their website at http://www.kanehsatake-edu.com

Please provide the courtesy of letting us know of any changes regarding your child's travel arrangements.  Let us know before if someone else is coming to pick him/her up, etc. Notification in writing in the agenda, a short note or a telephone call would be greatly appreciated.  Please note that the students may not get off at a friends house.  It is the parents responsibility to board and disembark their pre-school child (ren) from the bus at home.  Should there be no parent to meet the bus, the child will be returned to school. 

Let's be careful!  Please slow down your vehicle when going through the school zone to 50 km. When a school bus flashes it's yellow lights, prepare to stop.  The yellow lights are called pre-signalling lights and are to prepare motorists for the flashing red lights that require them to stop at least 5 metres from school busses.  Drivers who fail to stop when a school bus flashes it's red lights can be fined up to $300.00 and be given nine demerit points.
